Buster is honestly the best dog in the world...and Skylar loves him to pieces. Lately she has taken to crawling in bed with him , pulling on his ears, checking out his toes and his eyes, tugging on his collar and giving kisses (receiving some too) and he just lays there. Whenever she is playing with him she yells "My BA", my only guess is that it is the beginning of saying Buster. I always knew that he was a good dog, but I never imagined he would be this wonderful!!

The Princess now has her very own castle...
Chris is VERY Creative and he decided to turn the storage closet under the stairs (at the cabin) into a play castle for his little princess! It is very cool, there is a loft on top so when she is older she will be able to sleep in her castle and the underneath side is a little play area with her play kitchen. We painted the walls with chalkboard paint so the kids can color too! I know that Skylar will grow to really enjoy her play castle but even now without fully understanding it, she seems to love it, she will stand in there playing at her kitchen longer than she will do anything else.

New Year's Eve 2007
Twinners...
There have been several occasions where people have commented that Chris' Aunt Kristine and I resemble each other (or look like sisters)... There were a couple of times on New Year's eve where we were mistaken from behind, so we thought we would take a pic to see for ourselves...and there are similarities... I couldn't pick a better twinner:)
Silliness with Grandma Frye
Cross Country Skiing
We got new cross country skis this year from Mom & Doug, (THANK YOU, such an incredible gift we have had SO MUCH FUN). There are some really incredible trails around Caberfae and we had a great time adventuring around them. We took Buster with us and he was in heaven, he thought he owned the woods running all over like a crazy dog!
Winter Snow Fun
He is so funny...
OMG...I think I just won $10K....
So I really wish this was on live video because you would all be falling off your chairs...Chris and I decided to play a little Christmas joke, our victim, Ali. So in one of her presents we put a lotto ticket (a guaranteed winner). She was scratching it off and she was like oh a $10k, another 10K, seriously another 10K...does that mean I won...Cam grabs it from her and was so serious, looking it over, ya you won...no way! Then Ali grabs it back and was like is this for real I can't believe it, then she flips it over and starts reading the back of the ticket....the first line reads: this ticket is valid only in your dreams....
Good Laugh...Love it!
On another note....a few days later I get a call from Haley ( who was not with us on Christmas because she was in Mexico) she was telling me how she stopped by Dad's house, found the ticket and ran down to Ali's room to show her that Dad had won $10,000....so easily fooled:)
Christmas at Caberfae
We had a wonderful holiday up at Caberfae...a big thank you to both of our families for allowing us to break past traditions and begin new ones:) Grandpa Hansen came and celebrated with us on Christmas Eve and was there for Santa presents and stockings in the morning. Then Christmas afternoon we had the pleasure of having Grandpa Mueller, Aunt Ali and Uncle Cam. Then Christmas evening we up the road through the woods and down the hill to Grandma & Grandpa Frye's, where we celebrated with most of the Winquist Clan. (we missed you Heidi, ,Martin, & Parker).
Skylar was a trooper through out the day, she was very OVER STIMULATED and only squeezed in one 30 min nap so needless to say as the evening wore on she was a little drained (crawling zombie). She was very funny opening presents, the first one she really got into but was so excited about the plastic Nemo bath toys Santa brought she did not have much interest in other presents!
As usually we had a FANTASTIC time; some great laughs (see post on FAke Lotto Ticket), Incredible food, and many wonderful memories were made! We are very blessed and this time of year is a great time to remember our many wonderful blessings!!
